  • Pattern Making Courses

    • Pattern Making I - Skirt

      In this beginner’s course, students will be exposed to pattern making terminology, including how to measure and create a basic skirt. Skirt manipulation techniques will be taught which includes pattern alteration and development by changing and closing darts. Skirt will be sewn in Muslin material and selected fabric.

    • Pattern Making II - Bodice

      In this course students will create a bodice utilizing draping and dart manipulation techniques. Students will sew a bodice using muslin material and perform 10 manipulated dart exercises in fabric.

    • Pattern Making III - Sleeves

      In this course the students will draft a basic set in sleeve and be taught a variety of different sleeves. The students will also create and sew creative sleeves in fabric.

      This course provides students with an introduction to color rendering techniques.  Students will be learning how to master techniques in material and fabric reflection using color.  Markers and color pencils will be used and provided. Prerequisite - Fashion Illustration I

      • Live Model Drawing is one of the best ways to learn human body and understand movement. This class is like a real art gym, fast and very engaging, creates strong observation skills and gives the knowledge needed to illustrate fashion sketch of a live model.  This class is great also for artists.  Limited seating

        If you are REALLY thinking fashion design is your future this is Junior Incubator for young designers. Here you will be trained to think and see the world like it is seen by the design houses you adore.

      This course is based on using a skirt commercial pattern. In this class the student will learn to apply zipper, pocket and waist band. Other finishes will include but not limited to hems sewn by hand or machine. Prerequisite - Clothing Construction - I

      Our workshop is offered on line and in a classroom. Our instructors are professional stylists, make up and hair artists. We will be visiting studios and showrooms in NYC for the on ground class. The online workshop will offer guided projects with extended time period so the student could get the project complete. We will be working on developing a professional portfolio to support your future efforts in starting your own stylist practice
